Hi! My name is Katrina Sanders and I am one of the second grade teachers at Parshall Elementary. I am excited for this new school year. This is my third year of teaching and I love teaching Second Graders. Second Grade is a very important foundational year for later grades. We are going to learn more about cool science topics such as animals, plants, the Solar System and simple machines. This will be a very fun year and my goal is to help every student grow as much as possible.
I also think it is very important to work together as a class. A class spends a lot of time together so it important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I believe in teaching students to "Respect Yourself, Respect Others, and Respect the School." I am always looking for more effective techniques to help students grow academically and as a person.
Want to know a little about me? I am from Rupert, Idaho and I graduated Valley City State University in 2014. I worked in Williston for one year (teaching second grade as well) before moving to Parshall. This will be my second year at Parshall Elementary. When I am not in school, I love exploring the outdoors, reading, drawing, painting, visiting friends, and watching movies.
