Last week we began our poetry review. The students read: "Pretty Words" by Elinor Wylie and "Introduction to Poetry" by Billy Collins. We discussed poetry and our views on it and then the students wrote a poem on poetry. This helped us review figurative language focusing on similes and metaphors.
